Red Box Food Drive
Red Box is our annual charitable food drive held in November and December. We offer three ways to donate: find a Red Box at one of our locations, donate cash through one of our Red cash jars or make a donation online. We spread the wealth to 3 worthy organizations: Highland Fellows, Community Sharing and The Friends Food Pantry. Your donation can be made here by clicking HERE.

Scholarships
A minimum of one scholarship of $1000.00 will be awarded each year in the spring, for use during the next scholastic year beginning in the fall. The Board of Directors reserve the right to increase the number of scholarships awarded to no more than three of $1000.00 each, provided sufficient funds have been acquired to fund the awards.
Highland Community Prayer Breakfast
Every year on the National Day of Prayer (the first Thursday of May), residents and businesses from Highland come to together to pray for our country, state and community. Clergy from the area provide prayers and local choirs have helped us with this amazing community event.

Founder's Day Festival
Our local communities have great events like the May Founder's Day Festival in downtown Highland. The HWLBA participates and walks in the parade each year. In 2023, 2024 and 2025 Oakland County Boat Sales graciously allowed us to borrow an amazing pontoon for the HWLBA to march with. Hope to see you this year at this great event!
